2008 Campaign
With the 2008 Campaign upon us, we want to thank our friends and benefactors for their
generosity. With your help, we were able to accomplish some great achievements in the last
year. Some of the highlights include:
- More than 5,500 children received financial assistance through the Inner-City Scholarship
Fund program during the 2006-2007 school year. And the need-based scholarship amounts were
significant, averaging $1,458 for high school students and $1,039 for elementary school
students. In all, almost $6.5 million was provided to schools for this worthy cause.
- As a result of the 2007 ICSF Campaign (ended June 30, 2007), we expect to distribute more
than $6.7 million in the current 2007-2008 school year. More low-income children than ever
will be receiving scholarship assistance and getting a head start on finding success in
life through a Catholic school education.
- While the Inner-City Scholarship Fund program is the primary vehicle of the Catholic Schools
Foundation, we also assist some of the neediest schools and students in several other important
ways. The Technology Program focuses on the expensive but vital computer/technological needs of
schools while the Counseling Program addresses the social and emotional needs of children raised
in an often-unstable inner city environment. These programs are being fully funded again this
year in the schools that have been beneficiaries in the past. These programs, in addition to the
contributions of our Professionals Team, impact thousands of students each year.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to working with you to continue to Build Minds and Change Lives.
