Our Counseling
Program
The Counseling Program was initiated to address
the emotional needs of children attending inner-city
schools within the Archdiocese of Boston. This program
facilitates the healthy growth and development of
each student by offering students a way to ease
their social, psychological, and spiritual burdens.
Counselors positively influence the students, their
families, and the full educational environment.
Nearly 4,000 students are currently served by the
Counseling Program. A five-year campaign is underway
to raise $900,000 for this program, which, when
fully operational, will make available counseling
services in both group and individual sessions to
more than 16,000 students in 33 inner-city parochial
elementary schools in Boston. During the 2002-2003
school year, 14 counselors have been working in
2 schools.
Please see the Donate
page to learn how you can support the goals
of this program or contact
us for more information.
