Seeing the business
world first-hand is an invaluable way for inner-city
students to begin to both envision themselves
in a career and realize how important their education
is to their future goals. The Industry Tour Program
provides students with this opportunity, enabling
students to explore a wide range of local businesses
and professions.
Last year, 15 tours were held involving 19 schools
and 555 children. Businesses that have hosted
tours include Teradyne, Inc., Siemens, Payette
Associates, The Boston Herald, The Boston Globe,
Roche Brothers Supermarkets, Marino Lookout Farm,
Cognex Corporation, TAC Worldwide, Fresenius Medical
Center, John Hancock Insurance, World Trade Center
Boston, and Intel.
How You Can Help

The program seeks companies willing to host facility
tours during the academic year. Its goal is to
provide students with a wide range of career information.
Become a Volunteer.
The ICSF Professionals’ Team is looking
for devoted volunteers to enlist companies to
host student tours, to serve as chaperones, and
to assist in coordinating the program.
