Celebrate School's Out Summer Celebration

Summer is just around the corner, and we’re excited to share that our Annual School’s Out Summer Celebration is back!

CSF’s annual summer networking and stewardship event brings together young professionals, corporate partners, board members, and supporters to celebrate the end of the school year, recognize outstanding volunteers, and build momentum for CSF’s mission.

We’re thrilled to once again host this year’s event at the Rooftop at The Envoy Hotel, offering a vibrant setting to connect, celebrate, and honor those who make our work possible.

Alumni Spotlight: Jackie Sorto

Back in March, we’ve had the pleasure of reconnecting with Jackie Sorto whom recently participated in our Celebration of Excellence event earlier in year as an Industry Leader. Jackie shared her experiences as a CSF scholar and how that unique opportunity changed the trajectory of her life.

Today, she works in the Admissions Office at St. John’s Prep, one of CSF’s partner schools, helping students receive the same life-changing opportunities she did.

Our Annual Gala was a memorable evening celebrating the power of community and impact. We were proud to bring together supporters, partners, and friends for a night that truly highlighted our mission in action.

A special highlight of the evening was welcoming Jada N., this year’s student speaker. Her powerful story and inspiring words brought our work to life and served as a meaningful reminder of the opportunities made possible through your support.

Alumni Spotlight: Coralie Daniel

Recently, CSF met up with Coralie Daniel whom attended our Young Leader/ Young Ambassador Christmas Party and was excited to share what she has been up too. Graduating in 2022 from St. Joseph Prep and currently attending Wellesley College, Coralie’s reflected on the power of community support and determination as she majors in Psychology with a concentration in Statistics while working at the Boys & Girls Club in Dorchester.

Coralie is grateful for the donors who believed in her potential, and continues to give back while preparing for a career supporting children in clinical or school-based settings.

Celebrating Seniors at our Celebration of Excellence

On the last Friday in February, 144 of our senior scholars gathered at PwC for a day of networking, inspiration, and growth. From breakout sessions with industry leaders to hearing from CSF alumna Claudia Cellucci, our scholars began envisioning their lives beyond graduation.

20 industry leaders from various backgrounds and career fields joined us giving our CSF Senior Scholars an opportunity to network and be mentored in fields like Finance, Bio-Tech, and Engineering.

This morning event will focus on career conversations, mentorship, and the power of social capital—connecting scholars with alumni and professionals across a wide range of industries.

Alumni are invited to participate as mentors, share their professional journeys, and help strengthen the CSF community by building meaningful connections that last beyond the event. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating our scholars and investing in their future.

Alumni Spotlight: Alejandro Baez

CSF recently reconnected with Alejandro Baez, a first-generation immigrant from the Dominican Republic and CSF scholarship recipient whose journey reflects resilience and service. A graduate of Bellesini Academy and St. John’s Prep, Alejandro became a strong advocate for educational equity and social justice and remains deeply engaged in public service through local advocacy, municipal campaigns, and his role on the Methuen Cultural Council.

Alejandro credits CSF with helping open doors and shape his path. He plans to attend law school and pursue a career in diplomacy, continuing to make an impact locally and globally.

Meet the Artist Behind This Year’s CSF Christmas Card

This year’s CSF Christmas card is brought to life by one of our CSF scholars, Nicole Guzman-DeFusco, a talented junior at Central Catholic High School and the school’s November Artist of the Month. Known for her vivid colors, textured materials, and nostalgic themes, Nicole creates artwork that evokes emotion and connection, an intention rooted in her Catholic school journey and deep sense of community.

Supported through CSF’s pilot program, Nicole has flourished academically and artistically, exploring themes of girlhood, faith, and identity in her AP Art portfolio. Nicole is especially excited to design CSF’s 2025 Christmas card. Her story is a powerful reflection of how opportunity and community help scholars grow, thrive, and share their gifts with the world.

Celebrating the Christmas Season Together at the CSF YL/ YA Christmas Party

On Thursday, December 11, Young Leaders and Young Ambassadors came together at Central Wharf Co. to celebrate the Christmas season. Twenty-one attendees joined in the festivities, enjoying great food and drinks while making a meaningful impact by donating canned and non-perishable goods to support a CSF partner school this holiday season. It was a wonderful evening of connection, generosity, and new friendships.

CSF Young Leaders Volunteer at Immaculate Conception School!

Last month, several of our Young Leaders spent the day volunteering at Immaculate Conception School in Revere. During their visit, they joined students in reading activities and lessons focused on the letter "I."

Thank-you to all our Young Leaders, as well as the wonderful staff and teachers at IC, for welcoming us so warmly and making the day a fun and meaningful experience!

Alumni Spotlight: Meet Ciara

Ciara, a Notre Dame Cristo Rey alumna and Biology major at Boston College (Class of 2028), is on the pre-health track with hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant in pediatrics.

From Student Council President and NHS Vice President to her current leadership as an RA for BC F1RST and General Coordinator for ALC, Ciara is passionate about supporting first-gen and underrepresented students.

She credits her Catholic education and mentors, like Sister Maryalyce, for instilling the confidence to chase her dreams: “Receiving a Catholic education…really shaped who I am today.”

Young Leader Volunteer Day: TBD

Roll up your sleeves and make a difference during a special CSF Young Leaders Volunteer Day. This hands-on event gives volunteers the chance to support students and staff directly through activities such as classroom support, school beautification, or event help.

High School Senior Visits: Ongoing Visits from October to January

Throughout the fall, CSF staff and volunteers will visit high school seniors at our partner schools to offer support, share scholarship updates, and help prepare students for the transition to college. These visits are an opportunity to build meaningful connections and reinforce our commitment to each scholar’s success beyond high school.

Young Leaders and Young Ambassadors Holiday Party: Thursday, December 11th from 6-9pm at the Central Wharf Co.

Celebrate the holiday season with the CSF Young Leaders and Young Ambassadors! This joyful gathering is a great way to close out the year, connect with fellow supporters, and reflect on all we’ve accomplished together.
