BBH Cares Volunteer Day 2019
On August 14th, volunteers from Brown Brothers Harriman volunteered their time to complete projects at Lawrence Catholic Academy in Lawrence, MA. They worked tirelessly to prepare the school for the arrival of students in a few weeks as part of their BBH Cares program. Thank you, BBH for being an incredible partner!
Loomis Sayles Volunteer Day 2019
On Friday, August 9th, around 20 volunteers from Loomis Sayles spent the morning completing projects at Saint Patrick School in Roxbury. They re-mulched the playground, weeded, planted flowers, trimmed hedges, mowed lawns, and much more! We are grateful for our partnership with such a wonderful company.
Volunteer & Beer 2019
On Friday, August 1st, around 15 friends of the ICSF volunteered their time at Cathedral High School to assist with various projects and help prepare for the upcoming school year. Volunteers organized storage, emptied office spaces, and set up bulletin boards all around the school. We are proud of our partnership with Cathedral and thankful for the willingness our volunteers had to help!
PwC Volunteer Day 2019
On Friday, July 19th, over 300 interns from PwC volunteered at 12 CSF Supported Schools. The volunteers assisted with various projects including landscaping, painting, organizing, building furniture and more to help the schools prepare for the upcoming academic year! Thank you, PwC for continuing to be an incredible ally in our mission of Building Minds and Changing Lives!
School's Out Summer Celebration 2019
On Thursday, June 27th, the Catholic Schools Foundation and the ICSF Young Leaders hosted the Schools Out Summer Celebration to celebrate all that was accomplished in the 2018-2019 school year and to honor CSF’s Volunteer of the Year: Ali Huberlie of EY-Parthenon, for her leadership as co-chair of the 2018 Young Leader Dinner Committee and for her pro-bono consulting work in 2019 to assist CSF’s Allocations Team through EY-Parthenon.
Bank of America Red Sox Event 2019
On Tuesday, June 11, Bank of America sent 6 CSF supported schools to Fenway Park to catch the Red Sox vs. Rangers game! They met Wally, got a tour of the park and more! THANK YOU Bank of America for being an amazing partner in our mission Building Minds and Changing Lives!
State Street Volunteer Day 2019
On Friday, May 17th, volunteers from State Street Corporation were welcomed by East Boston Central Catholic School to assist in various projects in classrooms throughout the school! We are so thankful for these volunteers as well as our strong corporate partnerships with organizations like State Street that allow us to assist our CSF supported schools.
PwC Hosts Cardinal Spellman Students
A group of employees at PwC, a financial consulting firm in Boston, created a financial literacy curriculum with a particular emphasis on taxes for a group of Spellman students! 41 sophomores, juniors, and seniors traveled into Boston to spend the day with some of the city's very best professionals in the field of accounting and tax law.
29th Annual ICSF Dinner Gala 2019
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, CSF celebrated the 29th annual ICSF Dinner Gala. The event featured incredible student performances, an inspiring speech student speaker Julian Delgado-Figueroa, and raised over $3.6 million dollars for scholarships to support low-income students.
Turner Construction Visit 2019
On March 29th, young women scholars from Fontbonne Academy had the opportunity to tour the new science center construction site at Wellesley College thanks to our partnership with Turner Construction! Students learned about the many career opportunities available to them in the construction industry including: design, architecture, engineering, and the trades. They also learned about Turner’s commitment to employing women in these fields. Thank you to our friends at Turner!
2019 ICSF Corporate Volunteer Day
Friday, March 1st was ICSF's Corporate Volunteer Day! More than 20 volunteers from various Boston companies came to East Boston Central Catholic School and Mission Grammar School to meet our scholars and help with various projects including: sorting STEM kits, reading to students, organizing school storage spaces, decorating hallways, assisting with art projects and more!
Bus Tour 2018
Peter Lynch, CSF and the CSF Executive Council hosted a bus tour to Cathedral High in the South End. 2018's bus tour focused on CSF's Catholic Urban Partnership (CUP) Program. The CUP program is a $2.5 million investment (over three years) in the growth of Catholic education in the Roxbury and South End neighborhoods. The day included a tour of Cathedral High, an update on CSF’s new CUP initiative and lunch with the students.
28th Annual Dinner Gala 2018
On Thursday, April 12, 2018, the 28th Annual Inner-City Scholarship Fund Dinner was held at the Boston Copley Marriott and chaired by Bill Achtmeyer of EY-Parthenon. The event, honoring Bob Reynolds, raised over $3.4 million for student scholarships.
Celebration of Excellence 2018
The Celebration of Excellence held on Friday, March 23rd 2018 was a breakfast event honoring the hard work of the Senior CSF Scholars of 2018. They had the opportunity to speak with CSF supporters, and heard from a current CSF Scholar Onias Mirbel, as well as a former CSF Scholar Fortune Kalala. Thank you to all who attended, and congratulations to the graduating seniors!
ICSF Trivia Night
The ICSF Trivia Night on March 15th 2018 was a huge success! Thank you to all who joined and congratulations to our first and second place winners from BNY Mellon and State Street. This year, we raised enough for 8 CSF Scholarships! Thank you for supporting the Inner-City Scholarship Fund while showing off your trivia knowledge!

The Young Leaders Council hosted the 3rd annual Christmas for the Kids Cocktail Party on November 30, 2017. The event featured raffle prizes, photo booth fun and excellent food! All proceeds benefited CSF's partnership with Horizons for Homeless Children.
Youth Day at the Red Sox 2017
On Saturday, April 29th, over 60 Catholic Schools Foundation Scholars attended Youth Day at the Boston Red Sox courtesy of Bank of America. Students received a tour of Fenway park and watched batting practice from the field before sitting down to enjoy the Red Sox vs Cubs game.
27th Annual Dinner Gala 2017
On Thursday, April 6, 2017, the 27th Annual Inner-City Scholarship Fund Dinner was held at the Boston Copley Marriott and chaired by John Farina of PwC. The event, honoring Staples Corporation, raised over $3.3 million for student scholarships.
PL Scholar Mass and Reception 2016
On Wednesday, October 19th, our Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars were recognized at a Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Newton. Cardinal Séan O’Malley of the Archdiocese of Boston inducted the seventh class of PL Scholars. For the 2016-2017 school year, the Catholic Schools Foundation distributed over $361,175 to approximately 189 PL Scholars in 54 elementary schools in the archdiocese of Boston.
Hill Holliday Volunteer Day @ Mission Grammar
On Thursday, October 13, volunteers from Hill Holliday worked with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders at Mission Grammar School in Roxbury to plan, produce, and edit videos that will be used on the school website. Hill Holliday exployees provided advice and expertise to bring students' ideas to life.
26th Annual ICSF Dinner Gala 2016
On April 14, 2016 the 26th Annual ICSF Dinner Gala took place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. The event was chaired by Brian Moynihan, CEO of Bank of America and honored Ted Kelly, Retired Chairman of Liberty Mutual. $3.2 million was raised for student scholarships.
