This Christmas season, the CSF Young Leaders and Young Ambassadors transformed their annual celebration into an act of generosity, donating food to support a CSF scholar and their family at East Boston Central Catholic School. What began as a festive gathering became a meaningful expression of compassion, hope, and community, highlighting the dedication of CSF students and supporters to making a difference in the lives of others.

The Catholic Schools Foundation proudly celebrates Austin Prep senior and CSF scholar Kathy Pham, a 2025 QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship Recipient who will attend Yale University on a full four-year scholarship. A first-generation American, scholar-athlete, and community leader, Kathy’s achievement reflects her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service. Her journey highlights the transformative power of Catholic education and the life-changing impact of scholarship support in opening doors to opportunity.

The CSF Young Leaders & Young Ambassadors gathered for a festive Christmas Celebration filled with community, joy, and generosity. Attendees donated canned goods and non-perishable items to support a local CSF school, providing meaningful assistance to families in need during the holiday season. Through shared Christmas spirit and collective kindness, the event highlighted the strength of the CSF community and its commitment to supporting students and families across Greater Boston.

This year’s CSF Christmas card is brought to life by one of our own scholars, Nicole Guzman-DeFusco, a talented junior at Central Catholic High School and the school’s November Artist of the Month. Known for her vivid colors, textured materials, and nostalgic themes, Nicole creates artwork that evokes emotion and connection—an intention rooted in her Catholic school journey and deep sense of community. Supported through CSF’s pilot program, Nicole has flourished academically and artistically, exploring themes of girlhood, faith, and identity in her AP Art portfolio. As she looks ahead to college and a future in the arts, Nicole is especially excited to design CSF’s 2025 Christmas card. Her story is a powerful reflection of how opportunity and community help scholars grow, thrive, and share their gifts with the world.

CSF’s Fall Distribution on November 21 delivered $8 million in scholarships to 75 Catholic schools for the 2025–26 school year—our first major grant of the year. In total, CSF will provide $16.5+ million in scholarships to 4,000+ students, ensuring that 1 in 8 Catholic school students in the Archdiocese of Boston receives vital financial support. This investment strengthens Catholic education, expands opportunity, and transforms student outcomes across Greater Boston.

The Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) awarded $206,000 to 92 students across 25 Catholic schools in Round 1 of the Emergency Fund. These urgent tuition support awards help families facing financial hardship, job loss, illness, housing insecurity, and other unexpected crises. CSF scholarships ensure students can continue their Catholic education, thrive academically, and stay connected to a supportive school community.
