Emergency Fund Update: Round 1 Brings Relief to Families in Need
The Catholic Schools Foundation is proud to share that Round 1 of the Emergency Fund has been completed, and all recipient schools have been notified. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are able to provide $206,000 in critical aid to support 92 students at 25 Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese of Boston.
These emergency awards provide essential tuition support to families facing sudden and severe financial hardship, including job loss, illness, death in the family, housing insecurity, and unforeseen crises such as fire. By easing the financial burden during these difficult moments, our community helps ensure that students can remain in their Catholic schools, surrounded by stability, support, and hope.
One in eight students in the Archdiocese of Boston attends a Catholic school through a CSF Scholarship, highlighting the vital role our community plays in making Catholic education accessible to families.
Below are a few heartfelt messages of gratitude we received from our partner schools, reflecting the real impact your generosity makes:
"Thank you very much for this! Mom has been applying for jobs but has had no luck and has now reached out for emergency utility assistance. We REALLY appreciate your continued partnership."
– Lawrence Catholic Academy
"On behalf of the families and scholars, thank you for all you do for Sacred Heart. These funds will ease the burden for these families. Thank you."
– Sacred Heart School, Roslindale
"Thank you, CSF, as always, for supporting our students and families in their moments of need!"
– Saint Joseph School, Medford
Round 1 reminds us of the importance of responding quickly and compassionately when families in our Catholic school community need help the most. We are grateful to our donors, school partners, and supporters who make this work possible.
Together, we continue to change lives.
