Partnership in Action: CSF Visits Saint Francis Xavier Middle School
October 8th, 2025

A Joyful Visit to Saint Francis Xavier Middle School
On Tuesday, CSF staff had the pleasure of visiting Saint Francis Xavier Middle School in Weymouth, a vibrant community filled with energy, learning, and music. As we toured the school, the sound of band practice filled the halls, and students moved between classrooms with smiles and laughter. The walls were lined with creative science projects students had just completed, a unit on learning about cells.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to learn more about the school’s innovative Voyager Learning Center (VLC), a dedicated space designed for students who have documented education plans established by their prior school. The VLC provides focused, tiered academic support in a small-group setting, allowing students to learn at their own pace and receive individualized attention.
We also learned about Saint Francis Xavier’s Voyager High School Prep Program, which begins in 8th grade and provides hands-on guidance for students and their families throughout the high school admissions process.
The results speak for themselves: the Class of 2025 achieved a 100% acceptance rate, with every student admitted to the high school of their choice.
For 67 years, Saint Francis Xavier Middle School has prepared students not just to get into high school but to thrive once they’re there. With 39 current CSF Scholars, it’s clear that this “little red brick schoolhouse” continues to make a big impact on the South Shore.
CSF truly enjoyed our visit and is grateful to our generous donors whose continued support helps make opportunities like these possible for so many bright, deserving students. We look forward to seeing the great work Saint Francis Xavier continues to do in providing students with the tools, confidence, and care they need to succeed today and for years to come.
