St. Joseph Prep Student Receives Prestigious Questbridge Scholarship
St. Joseph Prep Boston is proud to announce that Edylene Altidor '23 has been awarded a Questbridge Scholarship to Wellesley College. Questbridge is a highly competitive program that offers full scholarships to talented low-income students to attend some of the best colleges in the country. Out of 17,900 applicants, Edylene was one of just 1,755 finalists to receive this prestigious scholarship.
Edylene attributes her success in the application process to the writing and speaking skills she developed at St. Joseph Prep through her classes in AP English Language and AP Literature. Her passion for architecture and drive to make a meaningful impact in the community made her stand out among the thousands of applicants.
This achievement is a testament to Edylene's hard work and dedication, as well as the support she received from her teachers and counselors at St. Joseph Prep. Sarah Christ, college and school counselor at St. Joseph Prep, praised Edylene's maturity and her ability to balance academic, extracurricular, work, and family responsibilities with ease.
St. Joseph Prep is thrilled to see Edylene receive this scholarship, and is confident that she will continue to excel at Wellesley College. This recognition also highlights the success of St. Joseph Prep's mission to provide its students with a high-quality education marked by academic excellence, meaningful engagement, and dynamic innovation.
