The Catholic Schools Foundation Names Five Inspiration Scholarship Recipients

November 5th, 2026

The Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) announced the five eighth-grade recipients of the Inspiration Scholarship for the Class of 2031. As CSF’s most competitive merit and need-based honor, the award provides each student with $50,000 ($12,500 annually) toward their Catholic high school tuition.

From a pool of nearly 30 applicants, the following students were chosen:

  • Alyscia – Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy, Lower Mills

  • Ever – East Boston Central Catholic School

  • Georgeann – Academy of Notre Dame Elementary School, Tyngsboro

  • Kyron – Lawrence Catholic Academy, Lawrence

  • Lucas – Saint Columbkille Partnership School, Brighton

These students were nominated by their principals as young adults who excel academically, display leadership, demonstrate potential for success, exhibit resilience, and present themselves proudly in their school and community. The nominees then interviewed with CSF, and five finalists were chosen.

There are currently 30 Inspiration Scholars in Catholic high schools throughout the archdiocese, and CSF has distributed $850,000 in Inspiration Scholarships since 2022. The most recent graduates have gone on to attend competitive colleges and universities such as Boston College, Wellesley, Northeastern, and Merrimack.

“Inspiration Scholarships are about much more than helping a family afford a Catholic education. They are giving young people an opportunity to reach their potential and recognizing all they have to offer,” said Mike Reardon, Executive Director of the Catholic Schools Foundation. “These students are great examples of why we do what we do. Congratulations to them and their families!”

The Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) is the largest K–12 scholarship-granting organization in Massachusetts, providing financial aid to low-income students to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, or gender. Through its Building Minds Scholarship Fund, CSF supports thousands of students throughout Greater Boston. As an independent 501(c)(3), CSF enables companies and individuals to help transform lives through the gift of Catholic education.
