Last Thursday, the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) hosted its annual GO & Inspiration Scholar Breakfast, celebrating students whose dedication and potential embody the mission of Catholic education. The Guaranteeing Opportunities (GO) Program and the Inspiration Scholarship Program provide need- and merit-based tuition assistance to high-achieving Catholic school students across the Archdiocese of Boston. Joined by donors, board members, and school leaders, scholars from more than a dozen Catholic high schools shared their gratitude for the opportunities these scholarships provide. Catherine Egan, a senior at Fontbonne, reflected on how being an Inspiration Scholar strengthened her faith, confidence, and academic ambitions—reminding everyone in attendance of the lasting impact of generosity, faith, and community support.

In this Alumni Spotlight, we reconnect with Colleene Kabaria, a 2022 Central Catholic High School graduate and Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) Scholar, as she prepares to graduate from Rutgers University. From changing her major to Human Resource Management to studying abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece, Colleene’s college journey reflects her curiosity, creativity, and courage to explore new paths. As a Posse Scholar and campus leader, she has found her passion for empowering others through HR—especially within the fashion industry she loves. With deep gratitude for the support of CSF and Posse, Colleene looks ahead to a bright future, proving that when determination meets opportunity, anything is possible.

On Tuesday, the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) staff visited Saint Francis Xavier Middle School in Weymouth to experience the vibrant learning environment supported by CSF scholarships. From music-filled hallways and creative science projects to the innovative Voyager Learning Center and rigorous High School Prep Program, Saint Francis Xavier is committed to ensuring every student succeeds. With 39 current CSF Scholars, the school exemplifies how donor support directly impacts student growth, opportunity, and achievement across the South Shore.

Supported by a Catholic Schools Foundation scholarship, Ciara Pimentel ’24 attended Notre Dame Cristo Rey and is now a sophomore at Boston College on the Pre-Med track. With aspirations of becoming a pediatric doctor, Ciara continues to live out the values instilled through her CSF education—embracing leadership, service, and a commitment to uplifting her community. Her story is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of a CSF scholarship.
