    From a young age, Aaliyah Veloz ’26 has been guided by a desire to help others — a passion that has evolved into a deep interest in neuroscience, research, and community service. Supported by her family and the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) scholarship, Aaliyah’s education at Central Catholic High School has opened doors to transformative opportunities, including the Broad Summer Scholars Program at MIT and Harvard’s Broad Institute. Through hands-on genetic research, leadership roles, and faith-driven service, she has grown into a dedicated scholar and leader determined to make a lasting impact. As she looks ahead to college, Aaliyah plans to pursue neuroscience or biomedical engineering — continuing her mission to combine curiosity, compassion, and innovation to improve lives. Her story is a powerful testament to how access to Catholic education and CSF support can unlock a student’s potential and inspire future leaders in science and service.
